Pairing New Sensors

Autowatch Alarm Help

Last Update 3 jaar geleden

If you have a compatible Autowatch alarm, there are several wireless sensors available.

PIR (Passive Infra Red) Movement Sensor

Reed Switch (Door Contact Sensor)

Caravan Leg Switch (for the Caravan 650 Alarm)

If you are adding new wireless sensors to your alarm, you will require the alarm pin code, the process does vary depending on the model of alarm, but the general process is as below.

You will also need the autowatch wireless fob to add the switch/sensor to a Zone, if you have lost yours or it is damaged, you can buy one HERE, and the instructions to pair it in to the alarm is HERE.

Find the 5 Digit Alarm Pin Code, this is normally located on a small white sticker on the User Manual(bottom left of front cover) and on the Alarm ECU itself (Top of the ECU - Cable Entry side).

Enter the programming mode, This is done with the ignition switch.

STEP 1 - Enter Setup Mode

Starting with the alarm system disarmed,

Turn the ignition switch to the on position (Dash Lights on, engine off) and cycle the ignition off and on 5 times within 10 seconds finishing with the ignition switched ON.

keep an eye on the Alarm LED, it will go solid and then go off.

STEP 2 - Enter the Alarm PIN Code

The codes are entered by switching the ignition off for X amount of LED Flashes, so for 1 you would switch the ignition off, allow the led to flash once then switch the ignition back on, then go to the next number. ((NOTE: 0 = 10 flashes))

so for this example code : 51340 the process is as below:

after entering setup mode (as above)

switch the ignition off,

(5) allow the led to flash 5 times,

ignition on,

ignition off,

(1) allow the led to flash 1 time (once),

ignition on,

ignition off,

(3) allow the led to flash 3 times,

ignition on,

ignition off,

(4) allow the led to flash 4 times,

ignition on,

ignition off,

(0) allow the led to flash 10 times

ignition on - > the LED will normally flash a few times, proceed to next step

STEP 3  - Enter Wireless Sensor Pairing Mode

following the same convention as the above, you need to enter the code number 3 then 3 again.

so

switch the ignition off,

(3) allow the led to flash 3 times,

ignition on,

ignition off,

(3) allow the led to flash 3 times,

ignition on - leave it on, the led will flash.

STEP 4 - Activate the sensor

Follow the below process for each sensor individually,

For a wireless reed switch, make and break the contact of the sensor, easiest done with the sensor in your hand, or with assistance if it's already installed on a door.

For a wireless PIR, you are best with the PIR in the glovebox from the start of the process, then all you have to do is open the glovebox.

for a leg sensor, follow the same convention as the Reed switch, make & break the contact.

Once the alarm "sees" the sensor it will beep. You then need to add the sensor to a Zone by pressing a button on the autowatch wireless remote.

To add the sensor to the same Zone as the interior hardwired sensors (ultrasonics) press the Arm/Lock button on the remote

To add them to a seperate Zone (same as the doors for example) press the Disarm/Unlock button on the remote.

you can repeat step 4 for the rest of your wireless sensors.

Once you are finished, switch the ignition off and remove the key.

NOTE: If you do not press a button on the remote to add the sensor to a "Zone" the sensor will not be added.

Any Sensor added to the interior Zone may be temporarily ignored (for example leaving pet in the car) by disabling the interior protection.

To disable the interior protection, there are 2 methods, arm the alarm as normal and then press the arm button either once or twice again within a couple of seconds, you will get a beep from the alarm if this has been successful.
